Animal Crossing hackers are creating custom trees which shoot star fragments instead of fruit, and it's all the rage in the community (via Polygon).

It ISN't clear whether these trees will corrupt the player's gamey, though thither is currently no certify to support this, and how long they will last. Nintendo may whorl out a patch to discourage modding in that manner, and those who purchase the trees are aware of the consequences, whatever they may be.
